Upload a New SSL
Certificate
After
you are emailed your certificate, two other certificates will be
necessary to setup your SSL Server, IPS SERVIDORES ROOT CERTIFICATE and
the intermediate CA IPSCA CLASEA1. It is essential that these
certificates also be installed on your webserver in order to establish
correct SSL connections with your customer's browsers. Should they
be required, you may download these certificates individually or
collectively as a bundled file below:
IPSServidores.crt
IPSCACLASEA1.crt
IPS-IPSCABUNDLE.CRT
Copy the IPSCACLASEA1 chained certificate into a text editor
such as notepad and save as IPSCACLASEA1.crt. Copy your web server
certificate into a text editor such as notepad and save as
yourdomain.crt. Copy the Root CA certificate, IPSServidores, into a text editor such as notepad and save it as
IPSServidores.crt. Install the IPSCACLASEA1 Chained
certificate
- Click the Key Ring tab.
- Click the Show Trusted roots box in the lower left
corner - all the existing Trusted Roots are displayed.
- Click on Add Trusted Root button.
- At the Files of type box select All files.
Locate the file IPSCACLASEA1.crt previously saved, and click Open.
Install your web server certificate
- Right click on your black key ring that displays the yellow
question mark.
- Select Attach Certificate.
- Select Files of type All files and open the
certificate file yourdomain.crt.
- Right click on your black key ring that displays the yellow
question mark.
- Select Attach Certificate.
- Select Files of type All files and open the
certificate file IPSCACLASEA1.crt.
- Right click on your black key ring that displays the yellow
question mark.
- Select Attach Certificate.
- Select Files of type All files and open the
certificate file IPSServidores.crt.
Notice that your keyring is now green and ready to use.
Click Yes to update the server settings.
Restart your server.
Test your certificate by connecting to your server. Use the
https protocol directive (e.g. https://your server/) to indicate you wish to use
secure HTTP.
Note: The padlock icon on your Web browser will be displayed
in the locked position if you have set up your site properly.
