OPPORTUNITIES
On-line shopping, electronic bank transfers, and other e-services are
becoming more and more commonplace, providing flexible round-the-clock
services. Nowadays,Internet offers great opportunities to companies
wishing to expand in the business world.
PROBLEMS
Sometimes, problems concerning privacy and security may arise and could
prevent you from leveraging the Internet. Unless your web page is secure,
your customers will be uncomfortable about making bank transfers. They
expect to communicate privately with your company. It is also important
to protect your online business from a possible replica of your website
that could attract clients to it. Only using encryption is not enough,
because it does not prove the identity of the person who sent the encrypted
information. Without special security systems, there is a risk of being
ripped off.
SOLUTIONS
With its Digital Certificates, IpsCA offers an easy way of making
your website more reliable.
Digital Certificates assure your customers that
the server is run by the organization it claims to be affiliated to and
that the information provided is authentic. Technically,
Digital Certificates, also know as Secure Server Ids, bind an identity
to a pair of electronic keys that can be used to encrypt and sign digital
information. In order to prevent people from impersonating the website’s
identity by using invalid certificates, our Digital Certificate allows to
verify the identity of the company.
A Digital Certificate is issued by a trusted third
party called a Certification Authority (CA), in this case ipsCA.
A Certificate Authority is a trusted third party similar to a passport office
and is responsible for issuing, revoking and renewing digital certificates.
They provide directories as well. All Digital Certificates are "signed"
with the Certificate Authority’s private key to ensure authenticity.
The Certificate Authority’s Public Key is widely distributed.
